For as long as I can remember, people have shared strange stories with me.
Some were ghost stories told around campfires. Some came from friends, family members, coworkers, and complete strangers. Others arrived unexpectedly—stories of unexplained encounters, strange coincidences, cryptids, UFOs, haunted places, and events that never seemed to have a satisfactory explanation.
Over the years, I found myself collecting these stories.
Not because I claim to have all the answers, but because I’ve always been fascinated by the experiences people carry with them for the rest of their lives. The moments they can’t explain. The stories they never forget.
My name is Scott Wejmar. I’m a retired firefighter, local historian, photographer, podcaster, and lifelong collector of unusual stories. Throughout my career and travels, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and one thing I’ve learned is that nearly everyone has a story.
The Ghost Collector is a place to preserve and share those experiences.
Some stories may be paranormal. Some may have ordinary explanations. Others fall somewhere in between. What matters is the experience itself and the person who lived it.
Whether you’ve seen something strange, encountered something you can’t explain, or simply enjoy exploring the mysteries of the world around us, you’re welcome here.
And if you have a story of your own, I’d love to hear it.
